Weston Backwoods Carbon 2024 - Splitboard
Carbon backwoods is a powder and freeride hybrid that prefers trees, powder and slopes of all kinds.
Like most powder plates, backwoods have a very wide nose and a tapered rear (tapered), but it differs by a moderately rigid flex, by our profile Directional Freeride and only 10 mm of setback. This combination allows the board to be agile in the trees, reliable in the Chop and floating in the deep snow.
By replacing the fiberglass with carbon fiber, using a high-tech nucleus in Paulownia with aluminum rods and bamboo insertion blocks, we have reduced the weight of the weight of the weight by more than one kilo Backwoods Standard while maintaining flex and pop.
The topsheet Rugged Nylon Ricin -based, predominantly white, helps evacuate snow in sunny time and adds sustainability. Finally, an Electra Ptex 5920 graphite base offers a top speed in a minimalist black design to create flawless repairs. All this allows the backwoods to tear the powder while remaining efficient in variable conditions, when you go from one powder reserve to another.
As on all our Splitboards, we have moved the Touring support forward to facilitate kick turns and on this model, we use the semi-active clip Phantom Hercules to help create the most reactive wrinkle while balancing the weight savings.
