Voile 3 -PIN cable - Telemark fixing

Before the advent of compression spring cartridges, telemark fixings were based on stretch springs to compensate for the elevation of the heel during turns. These springs were generally used in conjunction with a kind of flexible cable.

This is how the 3 -pin veiled telemark was born. Introduced in 1989, his name is a bit wrong. As with all the veiled telemark bindings, there is not really a cable in the conventional sense of the term. Instead, a pair of long, rigid, wrapped springs with hooks and a locking heel completes the necessary loop between the toes and the wheels. The springs expand very slightly at each Télémark turn and can be easily adjusted to the heel. This design has resisted the time test and is always very popular with skiers who prefer the comfort and flexibility of leather or more flexible leather or plastic telemark shoes.

The so-called "cable" assembly clings to a bombardier tip similar to that of the Hardwire 3-Pin Vile. Likewise, it can be removed to facilitate climbing and attached to making turns.

With a weight of 1 lb, 13 oz per pair, the 3-pin cable stain fixation weighs like a featherweight and behaves like an average weight. And if it is not broken, do not repair it.
